I swear, if one more professor tells me to “think outside the box,” I’ll make them eat my markers.
On a lighter note, I produced something for animation class that I’m rather pleased with. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed animating it:
What’s that? Why yes, this is the sort of stuff I get graded on…

Wow, that looks amazing! Love your comics too =]
Darn, this is my second attempt submitting this comment. I tried to follow your prof’s advice, but typing outside the box turns out to be a bad idea
Very nifty video! Liked the outside-the-box cartoon (#40) too. If someone’s going to ask you to think outside the box, they could at least come up with an original, outside-the-box way of saying it. Like, think around the corner, beyond orbit, beneath the crust, between the glue…
Ending is very disappointing.
I love this, the ending just leaves you wanting MORE! Sam, your work ROCKS!
Very nice! Did you hand animate the rolling when it went down the tracks? Or did you use a script to make sure it rolled perfectly?
Long, long ago, I bookmarked your site, after seeing it somewhere in the cloud. Tonight, I just went through my bookmarks and jumped at random – to blog.troublecube.net – and I see there have been no updates in a while, yet the site is still up.
So… my guess is that you are still creating but have little time to update the site. Everyone I have shown it to has been seriously impressed. How to you define “seriously”? Not in as “I want him to have my baby” or as in “I want to give him a google dollar commission to do a movie for me” but as in “super cool!”.
Yeah, I know; that don’t pay the bills, do it?
Any way, this is just a note from an admirer that your art is top notch and I bet many of your fans yearn for more.
2010 is just about here – make some changes! Surprise yourself! And above all, thank you!
